In and Out of the Rain

In and Out of the Rain

The fourth quarter of the year is notoriously slow in the real estate field. And January doesn’t always start off with a bang. It’s the time of the year most agents usually try to catch their breath, spend time with the family and start planning ahead.

Some people may have noticed on my blogs that I haven’t been updating as frequently as I once had been. Nor am I commenting as often Well, there is a good reason for that. I’ve been busy. The phone has been ringing, contacts via the Rain, IDX and yard signs are at an all time high for me. I’m also turning off my computer after 6 P.M. and catching up on my reading.

And it’s funny what kind of contacts I’ve been getting and just how they are finding me. I know there will be criticism but one of my posts (Holiday Salsa) has been getting passed around and getting attention. Thank you Chris Elizabeth for the idea of blogging unusual ideas.

The other thing I’ve been successfully doing is once a month e-mailing my SOI. OK, stop saying to yourself “Duh, Dena” But I finally got myself organized enough to e-mail everybody on a regular basis. And I’m sending out listings or coming soon notices. People, who I know don’t want to buy, are e-mailing me back wether or not it’s about the e-mail they just received from me. People I never or rarely hear from are contacting me.

So I guess I’ll end this by saying thank you Active Rain and fellow bloggers. Keep your chin up and keep plugging away. You’ve heard it before but I’m going to say it again. 2008 is going to be GREAT!
